Most plants are beautiful but some are poisoned like the Death camas, or the the Larkspur, or the Western Water Hemlock. If you take just one little bite of the Western Water Hemlock humans will get a horrible fever, and soon after expirierience death. Larkspur is also called a cattle killer. The plant can lead to paralysis, respiratory failure, and death for both humans and livestock. Just by touching Death Camas can lead to pulling muscles, low heart rate, abdominal pain, vomiting, coma, and shortly after, death.

State Wildlife
The animals in Colorado are everywhere. The most popular animal seen in Colorado is the Rocky Mountains Bighorn sheep was finally officially Colorado’s state animal on May 1, 1961. The ram's horns can grow up to 50 inches in length. Colorado’s state bird is the Lark Bunting. The Lark Bunting was chosen because of its acrobatic courtship dance and it’s melodic song. Colorado’s state tree is the Blue Spruce. It was chosen because of the tree's beautiful blue colors. Colorado’s Blue Spruce was discovered in Pikes Peak, 1892. The founder was botanist C.C. Perry and in 1899 the tree was named after George Engelmenn. The state's flower is the Colorado Blue Columbine. The Colorado Blue Columbine is a spring blooming blue flower.
